Choctaw Nation Labor Day Festival & Pow Wow
The 68th Annual Choctaw Nation Labor Day Festival & Pow Wow will be held August 31-September 4, 2018 at Tvshika Homma, (Tuskahoma Ok.) capital of the Choctaw Nation. The Choctaw Nation invites all visitors to enjoy tribal heritage activities, an intertribal powwow, Choctaw cultural exhibitions, stickball games, arts and crafts, free concerts and carnival rides. This annual Tuskahoma event offers activities for all ages including sports tournaments, quilting demonstrations, live performances, buffalo tours and more.
Honobia Bigfoot Festival
The Honobia Bigfoot Festival & Conference features live music, handcrafted arts and crafts, fun games, a nature walk, delicious food, family friendly entertainment and an art show showcasing the work of local artisans. Multiple musical performances and other live acts will be interspersed throughout the event. Bring your own 4-wheeler for Bigfoot ATV rides, or watch as the kids enjoy a wide variety of children's activities.
Talihina Fall Foliage Festival
1st weekend in November
This event features arts and crafts, an art show, live entertainment, multiple food booths and an area dedicated to Choctaw heritage and culture. A car show and quilt show will be held Saturday. After the festival, go for a drive on the nearby Talimena Scenic Drive and throughout the surrounding area to enjoy the region's renowned bounty of stunning fall foliage.
Talihina is the Village Between the Mountains and is the Mountain Gateway to the beautiful Talimena Scenic Drive and the Ouachita National Forest.
